Barcelona have recieved response from Borrussia Dortmund that they will have to pay £79million to seal the deal with Dembele which Manchester United have been after.
The France international is thought to be one of the Catalan giants’ priority targets for this summer, along with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti and Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin.
And despite Dembele teasing United fans by ‘liking’ a tweet about Victor Lindelof’s recent move to Old Trafford, it looks like he’s agreed personal terms on a switch to the Nou Camp instead.
Bild claim Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez has been in discussions with the 20-year-old’s representatives and reached an agreement for him to join, with just a fee needed to be finalised between the two clubs.
According to France Football, Dortmund want £79m for the exciting youngster, who contributed ten goals and 18 assists to the Bundesliga side’s campaign last season.
Dembele arrived in Germany from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes, where he first caught the eye of a number of top European clubs, and has gone from strength to strength since then.
